We would like to congratulate Kaylie on completing her training and passing all her exams. She is now a qualified dental nurse. Well done Kaylie.

CPR update during Covid
This is a picture of our CPR training in early 2020, our training looked a little different this year, keeping updated during the Pandemic has meant a few changes , all completed on line.
Staff changes
During the Pandemic we said goodbye to one of our longest standing members of staff, Danni our clinical lead nurse left to follow her dream of becoming a PCSO. Good luck for the future Danni, we know you will be as successful and dedicated at your new career as you were with us.
On a happy note we welcomed our new Foundation dentist Ffion Davies, who has started in a baptism of fire seeing urgent and emergency patients helping us to catch up on all our postponed appointments. Ffion, the teeth of the Vale thank you.

Oral cancer open day
November is Mouth Cancer Action Month and this year we have decided to raise awareness and money for the charity. On Saturday November 10th we are opening the practice to offer free oral cancer screening’s to members of the public. There will be a raffle, refreshments and cake’s for a small donation to the charity if you wish. You can call the practice to make an appointment or just turn up on the day.
We look forward to meeting new patients and welcoming existing ones.
It’s also a chance for everyone to take revenge on their dentist by throwing a wet sponge at one, as we will have the stocks out with Simon Hill in them!!
The practice will be open from 9am until 1pm, hope to see you there!
Good News…
Lois Kelso has just successfully completed her foundation year at the practice.
She has proved to be so popular with both staff and patients alike, with her caring manner, gentle hands and excellent clinical ability. We are delighted to announce she will be staying with us.
Lois’ appointment book is open for patients new and old, as she continues to deliver great quality dentistry.
Wyndham House Dentist, Llantwit Major – Team Building Day

The practice enjoyed another successful team building day. This year we took part in a muddy assault course. The weather was on our side so luckily it was quite dry!
We had to navigate the assault course whilst carrying a container full of eggs; we worked as a team to ensure all of the eggs remained intact. Although we endured a climbing wall, a balance beam and time trials, it proved a great success and all team members had a fantastic time…even if we did get a little muddy.
Well done Wyndham warriors!
Turn Back Time
We are now offering Anti-wrinkle treatment. Experienced dentist Jeannette Pugh (GDC NO 59369) has joined the team and is currently offering free no obligation consultations.
Prices start from £170 for one area.
Contact one of the team today for further information or to book an appointment.
Wyndham House Expansion
Wyndham House has been undergoing something of an expansion to the team and the services we provide in recent months following a physical transformation of the Practice. What was previously the Practice Office has now been turned in to a brand new surgery. The increased surgery space has led to an expansion in the team and we are delighted to announce that after his successful first year with us, Jay dos Santos has decided to stay on at the Practice as an Associate Dentist.
We also have a new trainee nurse, Natalie Best. We are delighted that Natalie decided to embark on a change in career, having previously worked as a hairdresser and au pair, and we wish her well as she works towards her Dental Nursing qualification.
The Practice has recently welcomed a new Dental Therapist to the team. Josh Kelly graduated from Cardiff University’s School of Dentistry in 2014 with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. As a Dental Therapist Josh is able to carry out multiple restorative procedures such as fillings and the extraction of children’s teeth in addition to his hygiene services.
Sadly as well as greeting new members of staff, we have also had to say goodbye to Claire Jefferies who has been one of the welcoming smiles in our Reception for almost three years. Though she will be greatly missed, we all wish Claire the very best in her new role in education at Whitchurch High School.
Overseeing all these changes and doubtless more to come is the Practice’s new Business Manager, Mark White. Mark has taken hold of the reins in terms of day to day operations to free up the clinical team as we expand our services further in implant therapy and orthodontics.
We are sure that all our patients will join us in welcoming the new members of the team as you meet them over the coming weeks and months.
Wyndham House Says Goodbye, Good Luck and Welcome
There have been a few sad goodbyes at the Practice in the last few months. Firstly, after a very successful year, the Practice was sad to say goodbye to Rhys Redford who completed his first year in Practice with flying colours. We wish Rhys every success as he moves on to pursue his flourishing career in dentistry, whilst welcoming Jay dos Santos who joins us fresh from Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Jay graduated in the top 10% of his class and is looking forward to providing our patients with a first class service as a General Dental Practitioner.
We also had to say a very fond farewell to Associate Dentist, Oliver Spencer. Oliver had been with the Practice for almost 7 years and will be greatly missed by both his colleagues and his patients. Oliver is leaving Wyndham House to pursue the opportunity of a Partnership in another Practice and we wish him every success in his new venture.
