An opportunity has arisen for a full time Dental Nurse to join our friendly team. We are a busy 7 surgery, mixed practice in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. Easily accessible via car or public transport. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care and a comfortable experience for everyone who visits our practice. We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Dental Nurse to help us maintain our high standards and provide support to our skilled dentists who offer a wide range of dental treatments. We have an in-house Implantologist, Periodontist we also offer clear and fixed aligners, and much more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during a variety of treatments and procedures, ensuring a high level of care and support.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and manage dental instruments, ensuring they are sterilised and ready for use.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and offer reassurance before, during, and after treatments.
  • Support with the management of infection control within the practice.
  • Manage stock levels for clinical supplies and ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your full scope of practice as a dental hygienist, providing top-notch oral health care to our patients.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and diagnostic skills, ensuring patients feel comfortable and well-informed during their visits.
  • Take an active role in treatment planning for periodontal therapies, collaborating closely with our specialist periodontist to deliver the best outcomes for our patients. ·

New Opening Time!

We are please to announce that for the lighter summer mornings, clinic will start at 8am every other Friday. This will allow for people to get an appointment earlier and still be in work on time for most.

This will include surgeries and our hygienist, but don’t worry, if these earlier times don’t suit it’s only every other week, and we will still have all surgeries running with our usual times in-between.

The first 8am start will be Friday the 7th May, for dentists only. First early hygiene appointment will be from Friday the 18th of June.

Welcome Back Rhys Redford

Wyndham House are thrilled to welcome back Rhys. Rhys completed his foundation training under the tutelage of Simon Hill seven years ago. Since then he has gained a wealth of experience in the maxillofacial department of the university hospital of Wales. Moving onto community dentistry and returning to us ready to provide a high level of care to our NHS and private patients.

Rhys’ clinical interests include restorative dentistry and oral surgery.  Rhys also enjoys teaching, having completed a postgraduate qualification in medical and dental education.

 Outside of work, Rhys enjoys expanding his passion for food by exploring new restaurants with his wife.  He likes to keep fit and enjoys running.  He also has a keen interest in American football.

 

Coronavirus information for patients

Wyndham House staff would like to thank patients for their support and understanding during these unprecedented times. The safety and wellbeing of our staff and patients remains our first priority. We are currently, and closely, following all official guidance (Welsh Government; Cardiff and Vale University Health Board), and will continue to keep all of you updated as best we can.

At present, we are now only seeing patients with dental emergencies, those who only require routine dental examinations and non invasive treatment within agreed guidelines. If you are someone classed as vulnerable with regards to COVID-19, please refrain from visiting the practice. Your distance from the premises is for your wellbeing.

Please do not attend your GP surgery, Dentist community pharmacy or A&E department if you have any symptoms of Novel Coronavirus to stop the spread of infection.
