Wyndham House Welcomes Hannah Thomas and Rhys Redford
Hannah Thomas Dip. Dental Hygiene GDC No 179853
Although having graduated from Cardiff University in 2009, our new dental hygienist Hannah Thomas has joined the Practice having relocated from Derbyshire in the summer. Hannah is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and since qualifying has gained experience both in general practice and hospital settings. Of special interest to Hannah is working with nervous patients to help restore their confidence when visiting the dentist and hygienist. When she’s not working, Hannah loves to travel and enjoys staying fit.
Rhys Redford BDS Wales GDC No 244725
Cardiff born Rhys joined Wyndham House fresh from Cardiff University’s School of Dentistry, having graduated with First Class Honours. In the future, Rhys plans to further his studies, specifically in oral surgery but in the meantime he is looking forward to providing our patients with first class N.H.S. dentistry under the watchful eye of Principal Dentist Simon Hill. On the rare occasions when he is not focussed on teeth, Rhys’ interests are football and ice hockey and he supports both the Cardiff Devils and the Montreal Canadiens.
The general feeing is pride tinged with sadness as Dental Nurse Rachael Browne leaves the Practice this month. Rachael already has a degree in Sports Biomedicine and Nutrition but since joining us in 2011 and becoming a qualified Dental Nurse her thirst for new skills and knowledge has far from abated. We wish Rachael the very best of luck as she leaves us to pursue yet more training and a career in Radiography.
Enjoy a new ice-white smile for the new year. Call or visit the Practice for details of our great value home tooth-whitening plan.
More New Team Members
You may also have noticed that we have a no longer so new face on our reception team as Claire Jefferis joined us just before Christmas 2012. A busy local Mum, Claire has customer service experience from a number of different sectors so like the rest of the front of house team, she is ready to welcome you to Wyndham House and ensure your visit is as pleasant as possible.
There have been two other new arrivals who seem to have caused the most excitement. Huge congratulations to Wyndham House Dentist Clara and her husband David on the birth of their beautiful daughter Sienna and also to our Therapist Olivia and her partner Steve on the arrival of baby Theo.
Wyndham House Dentist, Llantwit Major – Team Building Day
As part of ensuring that the Wyndham House Dentist, Llantwit Major staff work to the best efficiency as a team, we spend time together on team building outside the practice.
Our dentists nurses and reception staff all recently spent the day at Hensol Corporate Entertainment doing orienteering, and treasure hunting throughout the Vale of Glamorgan, followed by archery, and clay pigeon shooting in the afternoon.
The whole day culminated in finding a stranded airman in local forestry, much to the delight of the female members of the team! Sadly for them, when found he turned out to be just a manikin.
A great day was rounded off with a team meal and social evening in Cowbridge.
